Women of Letters is an afternoon that celebrates a diverse range of strong female talent whilst simultaneously raising funds for Victorian animal rescue shelter, Edgar’s Mission.
Co-curated by Marieke Hardy and Michaela McGuire, the monthly occasion brings together five of Melbourne’s best and brightest writers, musicians, politicians and comedians in celebration of the beautiful lost art of letter-writing.

Everyone’s favourite ambassadors of the written word Women of Letters are returning for another evening of wine, women and correspondence. New York City, this is an evening not to be missed. On Friday March 13th Women of Letters co-curators MICHAELA McGUIRE and MARIEKE HARDY will welcome - along with NYC hostess SOFIJA STEFANOVIC - on stage for the first time ever: Revered film and stage actor and director KATHLEEN TURNER Iconic actress and star of The Secret World of Alex Mack LARISA OLEYNIK Award-winning and New York Times bestselling author SUKI KIM Beloved pond-hopping writer and comedian MAEVE HIGGINS Sartorial icon and fashion designer RACHEL ANTONOFF Critically-acclaimed stand-up comic and writer PHOEBE ROBINSON These brilliant women will each be writing and reading aloud 'A letter to the night that changed me.’ Tickets via Joe's Pub, GET IN FAST IT WILL SELL OUT! Women of Letters are bewaring the Ides of March as they tend to do every year as they are a cautious bunch and if you can think of a finer way to do it than gathering at the Regal Ballroom to celebrate all things post-related well look we'll have to respectfully agree to disagree. On Sunday 29th March, the Women of Letters team will present together for the first time ever on stage: Acclaimed feature film director and documentary maker GILLIAN ARMSTRONG Award-winning cabaret superstar SARAH WARD Beloved singer-songwriter MONIQUE BRUMBY Prolific author and illustrator SALLY RIPPIN Acclaimed author of ‘What Came Before’ ANNA GEORGE These wondrous women will each be penning 'A letter to my happy accident.' There'll be the usual wine and letter-writing combo we’ve grown to love, and a special DJ set by the dapper DJ BABY BONUS (BRODIE LANCASTER).
