Women of Letters is an afternoon that celebrates a diverse range of strong female talent whilst simultaneously raising funds for Victorian animal rescue shelter, Edgar’s Mission.
Co-curated by Marieke Hardy and Michaela McGuire, the monthly occasion brings together five of Melbourne’s best and brightest writers, musicians, politicians and comedians in celebration of the beautiful lost art of letter-writing.

Hey SYDNEY it's time for our annual return to your glorious shores! And as ever we've put together a delightful collection of incredible women to pen letters simply FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT are you lucky ducks or what? On Sunday, May 10th, the team at Women of Letters will be bringing together onstage for the first time ever: President of the Australian Human Rights Commission PROFESSOR GILLIAN TRIGGS Acclaimed film and television actress TRACY MANN Singer songwriter MAHALIA BARNES Comedian, writer and broadcaster EM RUSCIANO Triple J drive co-host VERONICA MILSOM Playwright and actor NAKKIAH LUI Journalist and med student LISA PRYOR and writer, broadcaster and performer A.H CAYLEY. These wonderful human beings will each be writing and reading aloud 'A letter to the person I never thanked.' There will be music on the day by the magnificent DJ EDDIE SHARP. Tickets are $20 and THIS WILL SELL OUT SO GET IN FAST. All proceeds - as ever - go to our dear friends at Edgar's Mission.

The stage will be awash with warmth and curious tales of affection, bringing together our patented heady combination of sentiment and sauvignon blanc audiences have grown to know and love. And with their winter coats wrapped firmly around them your friends at Women of Letters will be returning to the magnificent surrounds of the REGAL BALLROOM, where they will celebrate once again for your heart-pleasure the world of letters. On Sunday, May 24th the WoL team will present together for the first time ever on stage: Domestic violence campaigner and 2015 Australian of the Year ROSIE BATTY Award-winning historian, author and public commentator CLARE WRIGHT Rookie staff writer and editor of Filmme Fatales BRODIE LANCASTER Adored rock n' soul heroine STELLA ANGELICO Acclaimed author of Hot Little Hands ABIGAIL ULMAN These fine females will each be penning ‘A Letter to the Me That Never Was.’ There'll be the usual wine/aerogramme-penning combo we’ve grown to love and a special DJ set from DJ Richie 1250.
