Women of Letters is an afternoon that celebrates a diverse range of strong female talent whilst simultaneously raising funds for Victorian animal rescue shelter, Edgar’s Mission.
Co-curated by Marieke Hardy and Michaela McGuire, the monthly occasion brings together five of Melbourne’s best and brightest writers, musicians, politicians and comedians in celebration of the beautiful lost art of letter-writing.

ATTENTION GOOD FOLK OF THE RIVER CITY, MEN OF LETTERS IS BACK! It’s that time of year again when WOMEN OF LETTERS returns to our beloved adopted Brisbane home, The Zoo, for our annual gentlemanly celebration of letter-writing. Some of the country's finest all-male talent will gather in this hallowed attic to venture where few men have gone before - into the beautiful lost art of letter-writing! On Sunday, November 2nd, the Women of Letters team will bring together for the first time on stage: Best-selling author and beloved QWeekend contributor MATTHEW CONDON Iconic rock musician and national treasure JAMES REYNE Award-winning novelist NICK EARLS Federal Member for Moreton GRAHAM PERETT MP Music journalist, musician and man about town EVERETT TRUE Award-winning country music singer JAMES BLUNDELL Writer, author and writing tutor JACK VENING Award-winning comedian GEOFFREY WINDLE These delightful chaps will each be penning and reading a letter to ‘The Woman Who Changed My Life’. There’ll be wine, cheese plates and copious amounts of letter writing. Stamps and envelopes will be provided, and in the spirit of participation attendees are encouraged to pen short notes.
